Question: I can’t open one of my plansheets. I receive an error message that states: ‘Problem in reading or writing plansheet: Respondent count on the plansheet does not match that on the TVD database. It appears that the database has been modified.’ How do I resolve this?
Answer: TView does not allow a plansheet to use scripts with varied respondent counts. It is likely that the script the plansheet used changed (i.e. dates), or the plansheet uses the wrong script.
To troubleshoot this error:
- Check the script for modified dates: If the script dates were adjusted you will need to re-save the script with the original dates. This is the most prominent cause of this error. If you are unsure of how the script should be set up, go to step 2.
- Recover the script: Follow the steps to recover the script from the plansheet you are using. Make sure your plansheet is routed to the proper script, go to step 3.
- Check the script that the plansheet uses: When attempting to open the plansheet, the .TVS file will scroll within the loading box in TView. Make sure the plansheet is tied to the right plansheet. If not, you will need to re-route the plansheet to the proper script.
