Question: I need to re-download online or web data for TView. How do I re-download?
Answer: In the event a data folder is corrupted, incomplete, or prompting a related data error, we advise you re-download the data for that particular month. This is specifically for online/web data. Steps are listed below regarding how to re-download. If you do not manage the TView data folders, you will need to loop in the internal IT team member or Administrator of TView server data and folders.
To re-download data:
- Go to the TView file location, and find the web data folder. This location should end in …\dat\web\data
- Find the appropriate data folder
Monthly web data folders follow this naming convention: Year_Month (“YYYY_MM”)
- Example: December 2016 = 2016_12
- Once located, delete the folder for the month that needs to be re-downloaded
- Login to the TView application and access the plansheet that requires the re-downloaded data
- Click to ‘Define Online Vehicles’ for the month you just deleted from the TView data folders
- You will receive a prompt stating: ‘…it’s time to get data for {month}. May I download now?’
Click ‘Yes’ to rebuild that month’s file with revised data
- Review and revise any plansheets that use the corrupted data or prompt an error for this month, as they will need to utilize the updated data
