This release of Aura Estimates enables you to create time estimates and actualized estimates, and calculate the variance between two columns in the multiple view. Several new search criteria help you find your estimates more quickly, and each estimate includes a new section for entering additional text. You can also now drag and drop work codes to reorder the list in both the single and multiple view.
In the single estimate view, you can now enter hourly estimates on new or In progress time estimates. The estimated number of hours entered against the work code is automatically multiplied by the work code's default rate to calculate the estimated hourly cost.
With the requisite settings, you can override or revert back to the default rate. You can also specify whether the rate should be included on exported PDFs.
Enhancements to the multiple view
You can now save changes to all estimates in the multiple view, regardless of their status or alignment on the page.
Calculated variance. Add a Variance column to view the calculated difference between two columns displayed in the multiple view. You can select two estimates, two financial columns, or one of each.
Layout enhancements. The work code columns are now frozen, so they stay in view when you scroll to the right. You can also expand and collapse the multiple view when you need more room.
Export view to PDF. Export up to six columns of estimates from the multiple view; they are displayed side by side on the PDF.
When you come to the end of a job, creating an actualized estimate is easy — just select the new Copy actual amounts option on the Add estimate page to copy actuals from the job to the new estimate. You can also choose to copy text and additional info from another estimate on the job to the actualized estimate.
Other new features
Enhanced estimate search. You have several new criteria to choose from when searching for estimates, including estimate date, media, status, and/or job status. You can also find estimates created, amended, and/or approved within a certain date range or by a certain person.
Additional text. Each estimate now includes a separate section for up to 6,000 characters of additional text. In the multiple view, you can compare additional text side by side for all estimates in the view and make changes as necessary.
Move work codes. Now you can easily change the order of work codes by dragging and dropping them up and down the list in both the single and multiple view.
